Hadano Summer Festival

Japan, about ten years ago. 

I was in the mountains near Hanato, outside Yokahama.  There was a summer festival going on, and the street was decorated like this.  I went to the festival, and I was the only giajin. As such I was expected to dance the traditional dances. 

From this street you could see Mount Fiji towering over everything, and yet it was still a long way off.
